From Career Ending Injury to London’s Most Experienced Lagree Studio

Karley began ballet at seven, earned a full scholarship to a top US dance school, and performed professionally before a serious car accident forced her to stop. During recovery, she discovered Lagree and became an instructor. After years of perfecting her coaching skills through a rigorous mentorship programme, she decided to open a studio. After traveling to London for years, she decided it was the perfect place to bring Lagree (created in LA) and teach & spread the method how it was meant to be taught. She moved to London to help people discover the fitness method she believes can transform their lives the way it transformed hers. She created BST, a studio built on resilience and the belief that if you want to love what you do, it takes nothing short of your Blood, Sweat & Tears.

I’ve never done Lagree, will I be able to keep up?

Absolutely. Every class is led by highly trained coaches who are there to support you, not intimidate you. You will be guided through each movement, offered options that suit your level, and gently encouraged at a pace that feels right for you, so you always feel looked after while still getting a great workout.

While Lagree was originally developed based on the Reformer, the Megaformer (Lagree’s machine) uses completely different principles that actively build strength and tone your body without getting bulky muscles, like other methods. Lagree combines strength building and cardio all into one effective 45 minute work out.
Lagree is known for its slow controlled movements that are both high intensity and low impact. This greatly minimizes the chance of injury. Many people effectively use Lagree to help with injury prevention and maintenance.
Grip socks are a requirement for safety as well as hygiene within our studio. We also recommend a water bottle for before/after class as we have a Borg & Overstrom filtered water tap.
Yes, we have changing rooms in the studio that you can use before & after class. Showers can be used by any clients on our intro packs, class packs & memberships.
Our instructors are qualified to handle clients that are beginners all the way to advanced in the same class, so don’t be scared to try a class that works best with your schedule. However, we are now offering a “Lagree Fundamentals” class for those specifically looking to focus on form and understanding the basics of Lagree.
The reason fitness doesn’t work for most people is simple, its hard to stay consistent. At Blood, Sweat & Tears our goal is to keep you consistent by making your experience as enjoyable as possible. We do this by only hiring the best instructors who care, are knowledgeable, motivate you, play upbeat music and last, but not least, create a fun, beautiful environment so you don’t dread coming to your workout. When you look forward to class it’s much easier to stay consistent and reach your goals.
Every exercise in class can be made easier. From the introduction of the machine through the end of the class, rest assured that your knowledgeable instructor can give you modifications and corrections to ensure you’re confident in the workout and feel seen and supported.
No, not at all. Because the goals of Lagree (full body strengthening/toning) and Pilates (mobility/rehab) are completely different, you do not need to have any background in Pilates before joining us in class!
